Residents have reported that a travelling community have set up camp in their neighbourhood.

Those who live around Caversham Park Village have recently posted that a number of caravans are currently stationed in the park off Caversham Park Road, close to Caversham Park Premier Superstore.

On a recent post to social media, locals to the area have been sharing their views on their new neighbours.

Despite many clearly stating that they are unhappy with the new visitors, others have expressed a more tolerable approach.

One person said "I can never understand why people can’t be more tolerable. Obviously if they are affecting you and your home then yes there is a problem but to be fair they will be parked up for a few days and then they will be gone.

"Where else are they meant to go? Don’t get me wrong I don’t agree if they leave rubbish etc but otherwise just leave them be and they will leave you be. Just an opinion."

Another person said "What's everyone's problem with them I can't see no mess around there tidy give the mushes a break in stead of chatting rubbish about them.

"Why not go up to them and try and get to know them and have a civil conversation with them never know they could even be the ones that do the lovely chainsaw carving out of logs."

This comes as a few months back a travelling community set up camp in Rivermead car park.
