Fire Closes Entrance to Yosemite National Park

A brush fire led to the closure of an entrance to Yosemite National Park on Sunday, October 6, the California Highway Patrol said.

In an update late on October 6, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office said the fire was burning along Highway 140 from Octagon to Buffalo Gulch Road. The sheriff’s office had not put out any evacuation orders. “Should conditions change you may be asked to evacuate immediately,” they said. Credit: Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
