Fire Country spin-off adds Gotham star
Gotham's Morena Baccarin may star in a Fire Country spin-off.
The actress, who plays Leslie Thompkins in the Batman drama, is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the firefighter series — with the possibility of leading her own show (via Deadline).
Fire Country follows the story of Bode Donovan (SEAL Team's Max Thieriot), a young convict who tries to get a reduced prison sentence by joining a firefighting programme in the California town of Edgewater.
Baccarin will play Mickey, a Sheriff's Deputy for 15 years who "knows every corner of Edgewater... and every one of its inhabitants."

The newcomer will first appear in a planted spin-off episode that is set to air later in season two, which premieres on February 16.
While CBS has yet to confirm the new project, the network's President and CEO George Cheeks hinted at a possibility of a spin-off last year. "We are focused on mass-appeal franchises," he told Deadline.
"This season's number one show was Fire Country, which completely lends itself to building out a whole new universe... It became very clear that not only was the show special, it really felt like this could be a great example of us building together a franchise from scratch."

He continued: "And so I'm like, 'You guys, congratulations, you got your back nine. Now let's start talking about ideas for new extensions.' They've already come up with some great ones."
Fire Country was renewed for a second season last year, following the release of its acclaimed first season in 2022.
As well as Thieriot, the show also stars Lucifer's Kevin Alejandro, Stephanie Arcila, Billy Burke, Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway and Jules Latimer.
Fire Country season 2 will premiere on CBS on February 16 and stream on Paramount+.
