Firefighters were called to a house fire in Cambridge on Tuesday (May 14). Three crews were called to the fire on Nuns Way in King's Hedges shortly before 3pm.

The road was closed near Cadwin Field while firefighters attended. The fire was extinguished before 4.30pm.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 2.52pm two crews from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine were called to a house fire on Nuns Way in Cambridge. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

"An investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire."
