Yahoo News First Dates offering free food to be in the background
Let's be honest, the prospect of free food would entice someone anywhere. Those nerve-wracking networking events? Add a free meal into the mix and we'd be there faster than Road Runner.
Well, First Dates is offering just that, but with the added bonus of not embarrassing yourself as the main attraction of the show.
The Channel 4 show has put an advert out for couples and singles keen to eat in the background of the restaurant as they film the main dates.
Sound amazing, no? The team will give you £25 towards your meal, and as an added bonus you'll get to meet First Dates legend (and all-round great love philosopher) Fred Sirieix.
The ad reads: "CALLING COUPLES AND SINGLES - WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE ON A BACKGROUND DATE IN THE FIRST DATES RESTAURANT? CHANNEL 4'S FIRST DATES is returning and looking for couples and singles to come on as BACKGROUND daters in the First Dates restaurant.
"You won't be the main feature but you may appear in an episode and experience where the magic happens. To help you with the cost of the meal, we provide each of our daters with £25. Daters must be 18 and over."
