First financial institution to come to Rehobeth; gives students workforce experience

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Rehobeth will soon be getting its first financial institution

Right now, construction is taking place for an All-In Credit Union.

The bank will be located on Malvern Road right next to the town hall.

This location will be a student branch — it will be a combination of All In credit union employees as well as students from Rehobeth high school.

Mayor Trotter says the addition is big for the community that’s underserved with financial institutions and also the next generation to prepare them for the workforce.

“The main thing we are going to focus on is financial literacy All In provides that service as a part of the partnership they will be going into the classroom and teaching that,” Mayor Trotter said. “We just know that workforce development is so important, it’s more than just pushing kids to college it’s about being smart with their finances and making good career tech decisions, so we think it will be a perfect fit.”

Students will have a co-op opportunity and make a minimum wage starting at 12 dollars an hour.

The bank should be open by the start of the school year.
