A first look at Heartstopper's Joe Locke in new WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries has been released.

The actor was cast in the new Disney+ Marvel show last year, and is set to play the role of one of Lilia Calderu's (Patti LuPone) familiars.

A new behind-the-scenes featurette from the series has now been released, with Locke briefly glimpsed on set in modern clothing walking next to Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn).

The actor previously opened up about joining the series, telling Entertainment Weekly: "Putting your energy into something is never gonna harm a situation. With Marvel, I was very determined to get the part.

"I had never been that determined about anything before, which I think meant that I was putting my energy into it. But I also think I've just been one of the luckiest people in the world in the last two years."

Locke added that the series will resonate with LGBTQ+ fans, explaining: "The show is about misunderstood people and people who are alienated by their society for reasons that they can't control. I think that resonates a lot with the queer community.

"I think there'll be some camp."

As well as Locke, Hahn and LuPone, Darkhold Diaries is also set to star The White Lotus' Aubrey Plaza, I Wish You All The Best's Miles Gutierrez-Riley, WandaVision's Emma Caulfield, who returns as Dottie, and Spree's Sasheer Zamata.

Speaking about taking on the role of sorceress Jennifer Kale, Zamata told Mashable recently: "It felt magical that I got to be in a show about witches. I talk about it so much in my [comedy] special.

"I definitely did do as much [comic book] research as I could but the way we formed this character is very different from what I think people expect."

Meanwhile, following the Hollywood strikes, it was recently confirmed that the Agatha series will be delayed to Halloween 2024.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is set to be released on Disney+ in 2024. WandaVision is streaming on Disney+.
