The Lost City's first trailer has been found – and it looks like the new action-comedy is going to be a lot of fun.

Led by a powerhouse trio of Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Daniel Radcliffe, the new movie sees them through into a search for the mythical titular city, but as the trailer proves, they're not exactly up to the task.

Ahead of the trailer release, Paramount Pictures treated fans to three stills that show Bullock and Tatum's characters, Loretta and Alan, wheelbarrowing away from an exploding building (as you do), exploring the jungle (in a sparkly dress, no less) and hitching a dusky boat ride with a somewhat shady-looking Radcliffe.

Directed by Adam Nee and Aaron Nee, working from a script by themselves, Oren Uziel and Dana Fox, the movie centres on "brilliant, but reclusive" romance novelist Loretta, and her go-to cover model Alan – the latter of whom has dedicated his life to living up to the fictional hero he lends his face to: Dash.

"While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Harry Potter star Radcliffe), who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city's treasure from her latest story," the official synopsis reads.

"Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it's lost forever."

Seth Gordon, the screenwriter behind the likes of Horrible Bosses and Baywatch, came up with the story.

Patti Harrison (Shrill), Oscar Nunez (The Office), Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Only Murders in the Building) and Brad Pitt round out the supporting cast.

The Lost City is released in cinemas in 2022.
