Five-Alarm Fire Engulfs Several Buildings in Brooklyn

Firefighters worked to extinguish a five-alarm fire in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday, May 1, the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) said.

Footage posted by X user @roiiiboiii shows thick plumes of smoke wafting skyward as crews tackled the fire in the borough’s Bushwick neighborhood early Wednesday evening.

According to the FDNY the fire started in a supermarket on Bushwick Avenue and spread to multiple residential buildings.
