Fleur East: āIām nervous about going back to normal life without my dad in it.ā

Singer Fleur East has admitted that life won't be the same without her dad who passed away in March 2020.
Opening up about losing her dad Malcolm during the coronavirus pandemic the former X-Factor contestant told the Standard: āGoing back to normal without my dad in it, we havenāt had that yet,ā East said.
āThe pandemic, lockdown, it symbolises the time we lost our dad and it will always be like that for us.ā
East, 32, explained how the whole world, āstopped with us [her family] in our griefā and that society opening up again is something that they are going to have to get used to, as they havenāt experienced that yet.

Malcolm was father to Fleur and her younger sister Keshia East, 25, who is a beauty YouTuber.
She admitted that his death was a 'shock to the system' but that she was 'grateful' to have had the time to grieve as a family during lockdown and not have to 'face everyone so soon.'
Fleur marked the anniversary of her fatherās death in a poignant Instagram post, sharing beautiful photos of her and her father, including ones from her wedding day.
āDaddy East! Today marks 1 whole year without you and it still just doesnāt feel real," the caption read.
āI never imagined life without you in it and now youāre gone, I really know how truly rich it was because of you.ā
āWhat an incredible Father you were! I am so blessed to have had your love, your guidance and your experience to learn and grow from.ā
āMy number 1 fan who taught me how to be an independent, confident woman and I will live my life making you proud.ā

The singer rose to fame in 2005 as a contestant on the X-Factor, and has since become runner-up on Iām A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, and landed presenting roles on This Morning, Ant & Decās Saturday Night Takeaway and as a radio host on Hits Radio.
She admitted that it was these work projects that had ākept her goingā through the difficult times.
