Floodwater poured down into the train station in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, amid heavy rain brought by the remnants of Hurricane on September 1.

New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency for the Garden State in response to the severe weather.

One death was reported in New Jersey, with Passaic Mayor Hector Lora telling local news a 70-year-old man was killed when his car was swept away.

Eight people, including a two-year-old boy, were reported to have died in New York City.
