Floodwater Pours Into Virginia Train Station

Water poured into the Virginia Square-GMU train station in Arlington and caused transit delays on July 8 due to flash floods across the Washington area.

Niina Farah was on her way to work when she began filming the water as it cascaded from the roof onto the tracks. Local reports said commuters were affected across the area, with cars stranded due to road closures and flooded intersections.

The National Weather Service issued a notice that said the flooding was dangerous and residents are being encouraged to heed the advice of local officials to avoid dangerous situations. Credit: Niina Farah via Storyful
