Florida Police Officer Rescues Tiny Kitten From Busy Roadway

A police officer in Alachua, Florida, was able to safely remove a small kitten lying on a busy roadway on Sunday, May 12.

Footage released by the Alachua Police Department shows Officer Thomas Stanfield exiting his vehicle on Highway 441 and approaching the small black kitten.

Stanfield scoops the animal up in his hand and can be seen driving back while holding it in his palm.

Alachua Police Department thanked a local truck driver who helped Stanfield stop traffic in order to safely rescue the kitten.
