FNC, NBC Lead Ratings As Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Donald Trump Jr. Speak On RNC Night 2

Night 2 of the RNC saw Fox News Channel deliver 4.8 million primetime viewers, 1M million of them in the key adults 25-54 demo. Another 2.8M viewers watched, including 816K viewers, chose CNN to view the evening’s festivities, included speeches by House Speaker Paul Ryan and Tiffany Trump.

MSNBC registered 1.5M viewers, including 435K in the key age bracket watching Chris Christie stage a mock trial of Hillary Clinton and Ben Carson draw a line connecting Clinton to Lucifer.

At 10PM ET, when the broadcast networks’ coverage kicked in to carry Donald Trump Jr.’s keynote praise of his dad, FNC’s “America’s Election Headquarters” coverage, anchored by Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly, led the pack in total viewers for a second night, while NBC led in the news demo for a second night. FNC clocked an average of 5.3M million viewers, with 1.2 million in the news demo. NBC logged a lesser crowd of 4.7M, but was richer in 25-54 viewers with 1.6M.

CNN averaged 3.1M viewers, including 944K in the news demo. CBS followed with 2.5M viewers (792K in news demo). ABC was next at 2.3M viewers (749K). MSNBC capped things off, with 1.5M viewers (467K news demo).
