Manchester City will be putting the Champions League to the back of their minds on Saturday afternoon when they host Luton Town in the Premier League.

The Blues played out a thrilling draw with Real Madrid in midweek and shall fancy themselves in front of their fans to finish the job and progress to the semi-finals of the competition. Before they can think about that prospect, they have the task of welcoming the relegation-threatened Hatters to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola has a few injury issues to contend with ahead of the game and he will no doubt have one eye on Los Blancos when selecting his team. However, City cannot afford to underestimate this weekend's opposition especially when the Premier League title race is so tight.

Rodri

Injury: Fatigue

What Guardiola has said: "I didn't speak with him but if he needs a rest he will have rest. Or no. I don’t know. More than the physicality, it is a case of spending mental energy. Playing every three days, three days. Of course, he's tired, playing a lot of minutes. Rodri is so important for us and we’ll decide tomorrow what we have to do. If a player doesn’t want to play then he’s not going to play. Simple. Another one will play. If he’s exhausted, it can happen and another player is going to play."
