Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl really took in the Scottish culture during his Hampden gig on Monday night as he swigged Buckfast and the crowd chanted the country's national anthem, Flower of Scotland.

The American star was introducing the band to the crowd as he swigged on the tonic wine, he later took to Twitter to thank fans for their support.

Taking to the site, now known as X, Dave posted: "The Moment I Had a Bottle of Buckie & Flower of Scotland! What a night, at the Hampden Park Stadium, Glasgow! Cheers to everyone who came out and sang their hearts out! #FooFighters #IAmDaveGrohl #LiveMusic #GlasgowNights #RocknRoll #BuckieAndFlowers."

The Hampden gig was the band's first UK tour since an incredible surprise appearance on the Pyramid Stage at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival, and the first without drummer Taylor Hawkins, who sadly passed away in March 2022.

And many flocked to Dave's post to thank him for an incredible show.

One penned: "Awesome gig. Genuinely for 3 hours you rocked the place. And you took me back to when I was a young for a few hours. Reminiscing when I heard Learn to Fly that 1st time all those years ago. You are quite simply a legend of a band."

Another said: "Buckie = Caffeine and alcohol. Sleep well, Dave."

One added: "Tonight the @foofighters at Glasgow were simply unreal . 3 Hrs of just wow . Love Dave Grohl having a Buckfast Wine on stage . Incredible Set @FooFightersUK. Enjoy London."

One chimed in: "Dave Grohl scooping Buckfast while the crowd sing Flower Of Scotland."
