Forget the Chocolate Factory. There Are Now Two Delicious ‘Wonka’ Suites in N.Y. and L.A.

Ready to travel to a world of pure imagination?

Booking.com and Warner Bros. Pictures have teamed up to create two candy-themed suites in celebration of the holiday season and Wonka, which hits theaters on December 15. Dubbed Wonka Sweet Suites, the whimsical stays at Park Lane New York in the Big Apple and California’s Viceroy Santa Monica hotel include rainbow lollipops, florals, and pink-cloud displays worthy of the chocolatier’s famous factory. And you won’t need a golden ticket: Two pairs of guests will be able to book the experiences on December 13 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The chocolatier-inspired stays are set in Park Lane’s Conservatory Suite and Viceroy’s Palmetto King Suite, where you’ll find all-you-can-eat treat experiences and edible amenities set among fantastical decor. Some of those offerings include limited-edition Wonka Magic Hat Gummies in four flavored combos, life-sized chocolate confections, a replica of the tree in Wonka’s candy shop, and a luxe “chocolate bar” bed topped with marshmallows (a luxe blanket) like those in the new film.

If you happen to be a Genius Level 2 or Genius Level 3 member (a.k.a. part of Booking.com’s loyalty program), you’ll snag an extra-sweet surprise: a free chocolate-infused breakfast—something Augustus Gloop would surely enjoy. Whether you’re part of the membership or not, the Wonka Sweet Suite experience also provides you with airport transfers, itineraries, and overnight stays that will take place from December 15 to 16. Better still is that both bookings are priced at just $12.15—a nod to the film’s release date. You’ll also get plenty of perks, including tickets to see the new movie in theaters, vintage destination posters, candy-inspired beverages, and stamp wallpaper inspired by the chocolatier’s travels.

And you’ll see what happens to Willy Wonka after those worldwide adventures in this latest movie. Directed by Paul King, the 2023 movie is the third installment in the Wonka universe, following the original 1971 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The filmmaker’s tale, unlike the previous flicks, shares the origin story of the famed candy man, played by Timothée Chalamet, and how he became the greatest inventor, magician, and chocolate maker in the world.

This isn’t Booking.com’s first time whipping up a luxe stay. Last year, the website partnered with Mariah Carey—also known as the Queen of Christmas—to create an equally festive experience that brought one lucky duo to N.Y.C. for a weekend-long stay at the Plaza to partake in a lavish itinerary. Clearly, the platform knows a thing or two about creating one unique experience.
