What adjectives would you use to describe your ideal sexual partner? Romantic? Adventurous? Spontaneous?

Actually, you should probably be going for someone ‘conscientious’ instead – as a new study suggests that good planning is the key to keeping the sexual spark alive.

Researchers from Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany interviewed 964 young couples about their sex lives – and their personality types.

They found that people who were conscientious – ie efficient and organised – were having more and better sex.

Part of the reason might be that men who rated themselves as ‘conscientious’ were more likely to ensure their partner was satisfied.
