Former Berlanti Prods. Exec Ryan Lindenberg Joins 5X Media to Develop New Projects

Former Berlanti Prods. exec Ryan Lindenberg, who played a hand in the creation of hits such as The CW’s “All American,” Netflix’s “You” and NBC’s “Blindspot,” has joined 5X Media as a scripted partner/producer.

5X is the company launched in January 2023 by founder Scott Einbinder (who is now executive chairman), while Alon Shtruzman and Gil Goldschein now serve as co-CEOs. At 5X, which is an international production studio, talent management and TV/film sales company, Lindenberg will focus on producing scripted television, developing and producing for the feature and digital arenas, while also moving into the new role of collaborating with managers worldwide, securing formats and participating in sales.

“Ryan is a huge get for 5X, a versatile and incredible talent who can enable us to succeed in executing our growth strategy across each of our core scripted areas of focus,” said Shtruzman and Goldschein in a joint statement. “He brings to us excellent long-term relationships with creators, writers and the entire creative community, agents and buyers, a strong development and hands-on producing track record, as well as a stellar reputation as an audience trendsetter.”

Lindenberg is the company’s latest hire following Anthony Kimble, who is based in Capetown, London and Los Angeles, and is developing the company’s international production and talent representation business as a producer and manager.

“5X’s strategy for global creative expansion in TV and film across platforms and its focus on talent was hugely appealing to me in joining 5X,” Lindenberg said in a statement. “I’m also especially excited to expand my horizons by working closely with their amazing team throughout the world in empowering new voices, supporting top talent and telling compelling stories that will resonate across the globe.”

Lindenberg was most recently exec VP of development and production at Picturestart. Shtruzman, the founding CEO at Keshet International, was behind shows like “Echo 3,” “Our Boys in the U.S.” and “The A Word,” and will work with Lindenberg in developing originals and format-based scripted projects to sell internationally across traditional media and new emerging platforms.
