Fossil Fuel Protesters March Down Streets of Washington During Weeklong Demonstrations

Protesters marched in Washington to rally for climate action on Friday, October 15, the concluding day of a week of demonstrations demanding a stop to fossil-fuel projects.

This footage filmed by Vigil for Democracy shows a crowd marching down the streets of Washington with banners reading, “Biden no votes for fossil fuels” and “People vs fossil fuels.”

More than 400 people had been arrested in the week’s protests as of Thursday, including 130 arrests at the Chamber of Commerce and Stewart Lee Udall Department of the Interior Building, according to participating organizations. Credit: Vigil for Democracy via Storyful
