Four photos show how new Basildon business park will look at former Echo offices
A DEVELOPER has revealed its vision for a new huge new business park at the Echo's former headquarters in Basildon.
Pictures showing the proposed exterior and interior of a new business park set to be built in the place of Newspaper House, in Chester Hall Lane, have been shared by the developer through estate agents Kemsleys.
The site is in the process of being sold by the agents to a new owner looking to transform the site into a new home for eight businesses.
These CGI images show the new owner's vision for a sleek and modern space offering great working environments, which is being advertised at the moment.
The building was occupied by a software company after the Echo moved to Howard Chase in 2019, after calling the two-storey building home for 50 years.
New signs outside the front of the building and warehouse advertise two 5,200 square feet industrial units, a 3,4000 square foot industrial unit, another 3000-foot unit and 10,000 square feet of space with a car park.
A range of "grade A" offices are also being advertised between 4,000 and 17,000 square feet with design and build opportunities for willing tenants.
The property is currently listed on Rightmove for a long-term lease at a rate of £4,250 per month and £15 per square foot of space.
The site has also previously been eyed up for use as a 400-seat auditorium and place of worship by religious charity Trinity Chapel.
