Four websites to find last minute holiday deals

With the current sunny weather, getting away might not be top of your priority. After all, why spend thousands going abroad when you can just go into your back garden for some sunshine?

That said, if it gets to August and all we see is rain, you might reconsider seeing as school holidays will be in full swing and there are only so many inside activities you can do without breaking the bank.

Here are four websites that could come in handy for finding a last minute holiday deal as even if you don't need it now, you never know what the British weather will bring you next.

Lastminute.com

Lastminute.com is a well-known site that allows you to search for, as its name suggests, last minute deals on all sorts of exciting things.

There are search options for holidays, spa retreats, theatre tickets, restaurants, car hire, experiences and hotels so you should find one area of the site that has something for you.

The site also has offers within its sections and at the moment, you could go to Morocco for three nights in a four star hotel from £301 per person, or Marbella for five nights in a four star hotel from £272 per person.

Icelolly.com

Icelolly.com is a holiday price comparison site and aside from being very colourful and easy to navigate, the site will compare the kind of holiday you want by searching other sites and giving you the best deals available.

It does the hard work for you and once you have selected your holiday type, whether it be sun, city, ski or cruise, along with your dates, duration and board basis, Icelolly.com will find out where you will find it cheapest and present it to you in a format that can be filtered to find what suits you best, such as price or resort.

It also has special tabs that will take you directly to offers available, for example the School Holiday Deals section brings up a list of destinations with their weather forecast including Crete from £107 per person.

Travelzoo.com

Travelzoo.com has over 27 million subscribers worldwide and it allows you to search for your perfect holiday by crunching the options into specific tabs to make it easier.

There is a UK hotels and breaks section, or if you want to go further away there is a holiday section that then brings up numerous destinations for you to select from, which is good for ideas if you aren't sure.

Travelzoo.com also offers a SuperSearch section if you aren't sure what you want and there is a Last Minute section too, which at the moment has deal to North Cyprus from London on 26 July in a four star hotel for £329 per person.
