Warmer, sunnier weather is the perfect excuse to support a local business by stopping by for an iced coffee – or a tea, cake or cappuccino. No judgement here!

Although this week's 30C heatwave was short-lived, temperatures are expected to hover around the 20C mark over the next few days, and what better way to celebrate than by checking out a hidden gem near you and getting a caffeine hit for your troubles?

The Front Room

Looking for a cosy, booklined space to escape from the heat and get some work done? Then look no further than The Front Room on Castle Street. Not only are its quirky interiors visually arresting but alongside iced coffee, it has a range of ‘thick shakes’ ranging in flavour from strawberries and cream to peanut butter and Nutella.

The Brunch Lounge

Found at unit 82 in the Eden Centre, The Brunch Lounge is a sure-fire bet for anyone looking to sit down and grab a cool drink during a busy day of shopping.

With breakfast, lunch and dinner menus packed with artfully arranged and generously sized dishes and a range of coffees, milkshakes and smoothies, it’s not one to miss out on this summer.

Kubik Café

A more on-the-go option, Kubik Café on Wycombe High Street also has a scattering of indoor and outdoor seating, specialising in homemade pastries and a hot and cold coffee menu. For those with more time on their hands, it’s the perfect place to shelter from the sun and do some people-watching!

Django’s Coffee House

Tucked inside the Patch coworking space in Wycombe’s old library building, Django’s – a small Manchester-based company – began life in a mobile van parked up outside the Eden Shopping Centre.

Now one of the town's best-kept-secrets nestled inside the historic structure on Queen Victoria Road, Django’s might just convince you to trade your iced coffee for a hot drink to see some of that on-point latte art.
