Frankie Boyle Sparks Outrage As He BANS Fans From Going To The Toilet During Show

Oh, Frankie Boyle.

The controversial comedian has sparked fresh outrage after fans at his Glasgow show were banned from going to the toilet during his set.

No, really, he seemingly would have preferred for the audience to wet themselves in their seat.

According to new reports, security staff at the King’s Theatre in Scotland were told that if audience members left the auditorium to use the facilities they were to be moved to another part of the building until the performance was over.

Stewart Mitchell, a fan of the comic, was left dumbfounded when he went to the loo partway through Frankie’s 70 minute set on Friday and wasn’t allowed back to his seat afterwards.

Escorted to the balcony foyer for the last half hour of the show, Stewart told the Daily Record: “My friends wondered where I had got to. They couldn’t believe I’d been stopped from going back in.

“Before the show, we had a few drinks in the bar.

“After I came out of the toilet, I was led to the balcony area where there were about 20 other people who’d also been stopped. We just hung about until the show ended but others had gone home in disgust.

“The theatre said warnings had been placed on the doors but they weren’t clearly displayed. They should’ve put something on the tickets or made an announcement before the show started.”

Or, y’know, let people go to the toilet?

Stewart added that he wouldn’t be going to any of Frankie’s shows again, sharing: “Most people were angry and one guy started shouting and tried to force his way back in.”

The King’s Theatre later confirmed that Frankie’s management team had asked for fans to be prevented from re-entering the auditorium if they left partway through the set, with general manager James Howarth explaining: “The show is only 70 minutes long so it’s not an unreasonable request.

“Most venues place restrictions on customers going in and out of the auditorium during performances.

“I respect the policy of Frankie Boyle’s management. I think it’s courteous to the artists and other members of the audience.”

But surely you can’t help when nature calls, right?

Frankie has not yet commented on the incident.
