A Fraserburgh pizzeria who only first opened their doors in 2023 have announced they will be closing down at the end of the month.

Pirates Pizza Shack, situated on the town's High Street, announced on Facebook their final day will be Sunday, June 30.

Owners Charlie and Sam said the decision had been made with a 'heavy heart' as they thanked customers for visiting and supporting the business.

"We would like to thank all our customers who have visited us and supported us.

"If anyone still has gift vouchers, then please pop in past to redeem them.

"Love and respect, Charlie and Sam."

The decision comes after they had recently appealed to customers to support local having cut their lunchtime hours due to a drop in visitors.

Pirates Pizza Shack currently operates a food van and had launched the restaurant last year following its success.

They had also recently been nominated for two People's Choice Awards, including Best Restaurant and Best Marketing and Social Media.
