Friends star Lisa Kudrow has joined comedian Ray Romano in a new Netflix comedy series called No Good Deed.

According to Deadline, Kudrow will team up with the former Everybody Loves Raymond star in the eight-episode dark comedy series.

No Good Deed has been created by Dead to Me's Liz Feldman. The series follows three contrasting families, all of whom have their heart set on buying one particular 1920s Spanish-style villa.

While each family thinks that securing the house will change their lives for the better, could landing their dream home actually become something of a nightmare?

Kudrow's character Lydia Morgan is married to Romano's character Paul, and they're selling the villa in question. Lydia is an immensely talented former concert pianist, and while she's described as highly-strung, she is also devoted to Paul and their two children.

Selling their home in Los Feliz proves hard for Lydia – not only are there happy memories there, but also a few dark secrets.

No Good Deed has also added more stars to the cast including Dead to Me star Linda Cardellini, according to a separate Deadline article.

She joins Kudrow and Romano, alongside The Marvels star Teyonah Parris, Luke Wilson (Legally Blonde), Abbi Jacobson (A League of Their Own) and Poppy Liu (The Flight Attendant).

Cardellini will play Margo Starling, described as "a perfectly-coiffed status seeker", and Wilson will portray an out-of-work, fading soap actor named JD Campbell.

Parris plays a high-achieving architect and expectant mother Carla, Jacobson is the competitive Leslie, and Liu will star as the "uncompromisingly decent" Sarah, Leslie's wife.

Kudrow starred as Phoebe Buffay in Friends from 1994-2004. She won an Emmy and two SAG awards for the role.

Her other upcoming projects include horror-comedy film The Parenting, starring Edie Falco and Brian Cox, and the fantasy adventure series Time Bandits for Apple TV+.
