Frozen 2 will arrive on Disney+ two weeks ahead of schedule

Great news for fans of Frozen 2: the sequel movie will be arriving on Disney Plus in the UK and Ireland two weeks earlier than had originally been planned.

The film will head to the streaming website on July 3, having originally been scheduled to drop on July 17. Looks like the calls for the much-loved movie have finally been answered!

The sequel became the second highest-grossing animated film of all-time when it was released last year, and was of course a huge hit with kids across the world.

Frozen 2 follows Elsa, together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, on a remarkable and inspiring journey into the unknown to discover the source of her magical powers and save the kingdom of Arendelle.

Like the cast of the original film, it features the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad.

The movie also boasts a stellar original soundtrack, including the Oscar-nominated song Into the Unknown.

And for fans who just can’t get enough, in addition to the movie, Disney+ will be streaming a new original documentary series called Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2.

The new six-part series will premiere globally on Disney+ on Friday June 26, and will show the filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast revealing just how they created Frozen 2, one of the most highly-anticipated films in Walt Disney history.

Cameras were there to capture an eye-opening view of the challenges and the breakthroughs, the artistry, creativity and the complexity of creating the sequel.

Disney+ will therefore become the streaming home of Frozen content - with Frozen, Frozen 2, Into The Unknown: Making Frozen 2, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Frozen Fever and Lego’ Disney Frozen – Northern Lights available for subscribers to enjoy.
