Temperatures will soar to 24C today on what could be the hottest day of the year so far in Greater Manchester.

Wall-to-wall sunshine is forecast for our region on Sunday as the mercury climbs throughout the morning and into the afternoon. Dry, fine and sunny conditions are predicted through the whole day and into the early evening.

Manchester city centre is expected to be the hottest place today, as temperatures are expected to rise to a hot 24C during the late afternoon. Residents are expected to flock to popular parks and beauty spots across our region as they make the most of the sunshine.
