Full list of major London Underground disruptions for July 2024

Closures at the busy Kentish Town and Colindale stations will continue throughout this month, while there will also be disruptions to the night tube service, DLR and many other tube lines. The weekend of July 12 will see disruption to many lines including the London Overground.

Monday 1 - Sunday 7 July

There will be a reduced service across the entire DLR network from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 July. The London Overground will also be closed from Hackney Downs to Enfield Town and Cheshunt from Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 July, and between Kensington (Olympia) to Clapham Junction on Sunday 7 July.

Monday 8 - Sunday 14 July

Three different lines will see closures from Saturday 13 - Sunday 14. The Jubilee line will be closed from West Hampstead to Stanmore including the Friday and Saturday Night Tube services.

The Metropolitan Line will also be closed between Aldgate and Harrow-on-the-Hill, with stopping services between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Northwood. The DLR will also be closed from Bank and Tower Gateway to Canary Wharf and Canning Town. It will also be closed between Stratford and West India Quay.

There will also be closures across the London Overground this week. From Monday 8 - Thursday 11 July it will be closed from New Cross Gate to Crystal Palace and West Croydon after 11pm and Stratford to Camden Road (westbound only) after 11.45pm. Between Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 July the network will be closed from Willesden Junction to Stratford (eastbound only) after 11pm.

From Saturday 13 - Sunday 14 July the Overground will be closed from Highbury & Islington to Clapham Junction, New Cross and New Cross Gate, including during Friday and Saturday Night Overground services and from Hackney Downs to Chingford. On Sunday 14 July it will be closed from South Tottenham to Barking Riverside until 12.30pm, Barking to Barking Riverside. A reduced service will also run between Shepherd’s Bush and Clapham Junction.

Monday 15 - Sunday 21 July

The District Line will also be closed from Earl’s Court to Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia) and Richmond from Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 July. There will also be no service on the Piccadilly Line on the Friday night tube and no service between King’s Cross St Pancras to Heathrow and Uxbridge from Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 July, including the night tube.

From Monday 15 -Thursday 18 July the Overground will be closed between Camden Road and Willesden Junction (westbound only) after 11.45pm. It will also be closed from Willesden Junction to Shepherd’s Bush (southbound only) until 6.15am between Tuesday 16 and Friday 19 July; from Hackney Downs to Chingford from Saturday 20 to Sunday 4 August; and between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction for Sunday 21 July.

Monday 22 - Sunday 28 July

The Northern Line will be closed from Golders Green to Edgware between Thursday 25 and Sunday 28. From Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 the Piccadilly Line will be closed between King’s Cross St Pancras and Cockfosters. The London Overground will also be closed from Hackney Downs to Chingford from Monday 22 - Sunday 4 August.

Kentish Town and Colindale Stations

Kentish Town Station will remain closed until September 2024 while improvements, such as replacing escalators, are made. The station was due to re-open this summer but the reopening has been pushed back to September after TFL said it had ‘identified assets that require essential repair’.

Colindale Station will remain closed for six months while improvements are made to the station. TfL has said this will include a new ticket hall and a lift to provide step-free access for the first time, in a new building.
