An Ash Railway Station bus stop is closed until further notice as part of Surrey County Council ’s many alterations to bus timetables. The stop, on Ash Church Road, is closed due to local development works on the Ash Railway bridge.

The county council advises the nearest alternative bus stops are Chester Road and St. Peter's Church, located approximately 200m in either direction from the suspended stop.

Works on the A3 close bus stops

Major works by National Highways on the A3 means bus stops at Wisley will be permanently closed until the new bridge is in place. A free shuttle bus from Ripley high street will replace the normal bus route to Wisley and Ockham bites, while journeys to Cobham will be diverted from the A3.

Weekend closure on the westbound carriageway A3 will last 12 hours between 9pm on Saturday 8 June and 9am Sunday 9 June. Junction 9 and 10, including Cobham Services, will also be closed for the installation of a bridge deck over the eastbound gyratory. You can read the full story HERE.

Due to student exam season, there will be a brief pause in diversions. The B3004 between Bordon and Alton will be reopened and services 113 and 123 will revert to their pre-roadworks route and timetable from May 5. It is likely that after the end of the school term the services will be back on diversion, expecting to finish by October 2024.

Other temporary changes

Stagecoach service 23/123/113

Due to exam season for students, from May 5 the B3004 between Bordon and Alton will be reopened and services 113 and 123 will revert to their pre-roadworks route and timetable. Buses will once again serve Kingsley and East Worldham, no longer diverting via Greatham and Selborne. It is likely that after the end of term the works will start again and in September 2024 the services will be back on diversion. The works are expected to end in October 2024.

National Highways works on A3 near Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Gardens Wisley (Bus services 462/463 and 715)

Due to the demolition of Wisley and Cockcrow footbridges which cross the A3, the bus stops on the A3 at Wisley will be permanently closed. Until the new Wisley bridge is in place there will be no safe walking route to RHS Wisley or across the A3 from the A3 or Portsmouth Road bus stops. The bus stop on the Portsmouth Road at Ockham Roundabout will be temporarily closed from Friday February 24.

A free shuttle bus is being provided from National Highways to help transport to RHS Gardens Wisley, Wisley Common and Ockham Bites. Passengers for Wisley should alight buses 462/463 or 715 from The Talbot, Ripley High Street.

A3 Painshill, northbound (towards Esher) slip road closure

Falcon service 715 will operate from Ockham Roundabout via Ockham Lane into Cobham from May 17 due to the closure of the A3 northbound off slip road at Painshill. The bus stop at Cobham Fire Station (for journeys towards Cobham) cannot be served while the A3 slip road closure is in place. This is while the National Highways are continuing works on A245 Byfleet Road.

A3 Portsmouth road closures

Major safety improvement works by National Highways are being carried out to the A3 Wisley Interchange ( M25 Junction 10). Weekend closures start between 9pm on Saturday 8 June and 9am Sunday 9 June: there will be a full closure of the westbound carriageway of the M25 between Junction 9 and 10 that will also include Cobham Services. The closure is for the installation of a bridge deck over the eastbound gyratory.

When closures are in place, the Falcon 715 service will only operate between Kingston and Cobham. The White Bus 462/463 service will not operate between Send Marsh Road and Ockham Roundabout, so bus stops in Ripley will not be served. Passengers should check the Falcon and White Bus websites for further updates.

Peaslake Road, Ewhurst

Due to works replacing a gas connection outside the Duke of Kent School, Peaslake Road in Ewhurst will be closed until 7pm on Friday 31 May. Compass service 25 will be diverted via Pitch Hill, Lawbrook Lane and Walking Bottom, picking up the normal line of route at the Village Memorial, Peaslake Road.

Whyteleafe Road, Whyteleafe

Carriageway resurfacing works by Surrey Highways means Whyteleafe Road, will be closed from Wednesday May 22 for approximately two weeks. For the first week, the Metrobus 409 and 411 services will be affected, and will be on diversion via Burntwood Lane and the A22 Godstone Road in both directions. Whilst on diversion, the bus stops on Salmons Lane, Salmons Lane West, Whyteleafe Hill, Whyteleafe Road and Buxton Lane will not be served. The "Recreation Ground" bus stops as well as the "Upper Warlingham Railway Station" bus stops will be served as normal.

Cromwell Road Bus Station, Kingston-upon-Thames

Due to major redevelopment works by Transport for London (TfL), the bus station on Cromwell Road, Kingston-upon-Thames will be closed until at least the end of August. During the closure many services will be affected, including: 406, 418, 458, 461, 465, 513, 514, 515 and 715.
