The 182nd annual Omagh Show, hosted by the Tyrone Farming Society, will take place on Friday, July 5 (equestrian only) and Saturday, July 6.

A wide range of classes will be held for cattle and sheep with many exhibitors expected to travel the short distance from Fermanagh.

Omagh Show is a qualifier for the Lakeland Dairies/NISA Young Handlers Championship which is being held at Clogher Valley Show. There are also junior showing classes for dairy and beef sections.

In the dairy section, Omagh Show is a qualifier for the Thompsons NISA Dairy Cow Championship which takes place at Antrim Show. There are classes at Omagh for Holsteins and other coloured breeds.

In the beef cattle section, Omagh Show hosts classes in various breed sections including Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, Charolais, Simmental, Limousin, Salers, British Blue, Blonde, Beef Shorthorn, Dexter, Commercials, Galloway, Native and Traditional Breeds.

Omagh Show has usually one of the largest entries of sheep at any agricultural show, being in close proximity to the traditional hill sheep areas of the Sperrins. A wide range of classes will be held on Saturday, 6 July.

The Show has kept tradition to feature numerous classes for agricultural horses, an amazing sight in this age of machinery.

Other livestock exhibitions include goats and poultry.
