Yahoo News Gael García Bernal & Bad Bunny Flirt In 'Cassandro's First Look Image
Ever since word spread that Gael García Bernal and Bad Bunny would be starring as lovers in the upcoming wrestling biopic Cassandro the gays have been ready and waiting to feast their eyes on these onscreen lovers. Now we finally have our first look at the two together and the chemistry is everything.

Set in the 1980s, the film tells the story of Saúl Armendáriz (Bernal), a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso, who rises to international stardom after he creates the ''exotico'' character Cassandro aka the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In doing so he gains the fame he was seeking but he doesn't only upend his own life but changes the macho wrestling world as well. The film is based on a true story and is directed by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams.
Bad Bunny is set to play Felipe, a young man who "comes to Cassandro’s side at the behest of a shady promoter. The drug dealing henchman’s responsibility is to handle every one of Cassandro’s needs, and Felipe does," according to Remezcla. The two reportedly grow close and their flirtatious relationship evolves and leads to some steamy kisses.
Earlier this year, Bad Bunny reflected on kissing his co-star in an interview with Time Magazine. “It was cabrón [badass],” he told the publication. My first kiss for a movie, and it was with a man. That’s the penalty I get for being with so many women during my life.”
“If you’re acting, you’re being someone you’re not. That’s the fun part. So when they asked me for that, I said, ‘Yes, I’m here for whatever you want.’ I think it was very cool; I didn’t feel uncomfortable. It’s part of acting. It’s part of what I’m doing.
Well, we’re ready to see that, ahem, performance. Cassandro will premiere on Prime Video on September 22. In the meantime, social media is having a moment.
