Game Of Thrones: Does This Photo Prove That Gendry Is Finally Back?

Let’s get one thing straight, Game Of Thrones’ fans have to put up with a hell of a lot when watching the hit fantasy show.

Not only is there the very high chance that your favourite character will get killed off in a brutal and horrific way at a moment’s notice, there is also a plethora of different characters and storylines that we need to keep up with.

But there is one character that GOT fans refuse to forget – even though it seemed as though the show’s producers had – and that is Gendry, played by Skins’ actor Joe Dempsie.

Gendry is actually part of a pretty huge storyline as it was revealed a few years back that he is actually the bastard son of King Robert Baratheon and might actually have claim to that prestigious throne.

However, just as quickly as that news was announced, Gendry disappeared – last seen being bundled into a row boat in a bid to flee Dragonstone and return to King’s Landing at the end of Season 4, which was two whole seasons ago.

Now, an eagle-eyed fan has tweeted a photo of Joe arriving at Belfast Airport, prompting speculation that Gendry is finally going to return to our screens considering Game Of Thrones is filmed in Northern Ireland.

Ian Glen, who plays Jorah Mormont, and Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth, have also been spotted in Belfast recently as filming for Season 7 gets underway, leaving us pretty hopeful that Joe has definitely arrived in order to film a few scenes.

About bloomin’ time, eh?

Game Of Thrones is due to return to our screens in the middle of 2017, and we can’t wait to find out what Gendry has been up to for the last three years.
