Season seven of Game Of Thrones has given fans many things to get excited about, however, the much-anticipated Stark reunion hasn’t gone as swimmingly as viewers had hoped.
In fact, the most recent episode of HBO’s fantasy drama saw Arya Stark threaten her big sister, Sansa, with the pair being at loggerheads ever since Arya finally returned to Winterfell – namely due to crafty Littlefinger’s reckless meddling.
Now the show’s director has teased that things are going to go from bad to worse for the sisters as tension really comes to a head.
Sharing some insider knowledge, Alan Taylor explained: “I love the fact that these two come back, they’re both lethal, and I just wanted to give the impression, as much as possible, that one of them is going to die. But you’re not sure which one.”
Taylor also pointed out that Sansa suspiciously sent Brienne, who has sworn to protect both girls, to King’s Landing, hinting that this could be a sign that there is trouble ahead.
He continued to Huffington Post: “Arya is certainly lethal and sort of threatening, but when Sansa sends Brienne away, who is Arya’s natural protector, something is coming very soon between them, and it will be violent but surprising.”
Alongside speculation that either Stark sister will die, fans have also theorised that Littlefinger could be the one to finally get his comeuppance at the hand of the girls, with he being the one who is driving such a huge wedge between them.
