Out of all of the Game of Thrones characters, the one we'd like to hang out with most is Bronn, let's be honest (sorry Jon Snow, you're just too broody).

Well, someone lucky is in with the chance to do that for real, as a new competition is opening to tour locations from the HBO show with actor Jerome Flynn.

A fan and their friend will get the opportunity to go to Iceland – where many of the beyond-the-wall scenes are filmed – and get a personal tour with the actor.

Of course, it's all for a good cause – to raise funds for marine wildlife charity Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), and part of the winning package includes a boat ride to a top whale-watching spot.

"As a passionate campaigner for whale and dolphin protection, I'm thrilled to be able to help WDC and offer someone the chance to join me touring some of the Game of Thrones locations in this beautiful country, and also the opportunity to see Iceland's extraordinary wildlife up close," Flynn said.

"It has long been a dream of mine to go to Iceland and I was always secretly praying that Bronn would make it North of the Wall. Of course that hasn't happened (yet!) so this trip is very exciting for me, especially as I will have the chance to see the whales in such a spectacular natural environment."

To be in with a shot, you'll need to head here and make a $10 donation to WDC. There are also other prizes including tickets to a taping of spin-off show Thronecast and campaign T-shirts.

We would certainly make the most of the opportunity, especially considering that the show will be ending soon – well, next year to be precise.

While details are understandably under wraps for season eight, there have been rumours that the show is shooting multiple endings to prevent leaks.

However, star Maisie Williams isn't that convinced about all that, mainly because she doesn't think HBO can afford it.

Game of Thrones' eighth and final season will air in 2019.
