Men are raving about the "insane" close shave they are getting with this "flawless" electric shaver - which is now available with more than £65 off on Amazon, for a short time only.

Ahead of Amazon Prime Day on July 16 and 17, the online retail giant has knocked 55 per cent off the Philips Series 3000 Men's Electric Shaver, slashing its retail price of £119.99, down to just £53.

And this is a deal you won't want to miss, as delighted customers have called the product a "gamechanger" - with one saying it gave him "the most perfect shave I've had for many a year".

The shaver, which can be used for either a wet or dry shave, follows the contours of your face with a five-directional pivot three Flex Heads for a more comfortable and consistent shave.

It contains 27 self-sharpening blades, that are precision engineered for a convenient close and clean shave, also includes a built-in trimmer, perfect for maintaining your moustache, beard, or sideburns, reports the Express.

It is chargeable with a USB cable, which is included in the box, and provides cordless shaving for up to 60 minutes, after an hour's charge. However, if you are pressed for time, a quick, five-minute charge should give you the power you need for a full shave.

The Philips Electric Shaver - which is also currently on sale at Argos for £50 - has garnered an impressive 4.2-star rating out of five on Amazon, from 335 reviewers.

One happy customer wrote: "Flawless. I got this product today and the shave was INSANE. Absolutely perfect, only an hour charge, comfortable to hold. Absolutely recommend this product."

Another added: "My Phillips razor is excellent in every aspect. It has a larger shaving area than my last Philips razor and has self-sharpening blades. It is excellent value and I would recommend this razor above many others, even those that are more expensive."

And a third commented: "I bought it as a back up shaver, now it is my first choice shaver. Much better than my Braun 7 series which costs considerably more. Well done Philips."

However, not everyone left glowing remarks, as one complained that the shaver was too slow, writing: "A well-made, great-looking shaver which holds very well in the hand... But I bought this not realising that the speed off the cutters would be much slower than my previous Philips shaver. I found shaving so very slow and not a very good shave."

For a limited time, the Philips Series 3000 Men's Electric Shaver is available on Amazon for £53. The same shaver is currently on sale at Argos for £50, while Boots is selling it for its original retail price of £119.99.

If you're looking for an alternative electric shaver, Currys has the BRAUN Series 3 ProSkin 3040s Wet and Dry Foil Shaver for £119.99, while Superdrug is offering the Panasonic ES-LL21 Wet and Dry Electric 3-Blade Shaver, on sale for £49.99.
