It attracted plenty of attention towards the end of last year for its stunning Christmas display and now a very popular pub in Gateshead is hoping for plenty of sunshine, as it launches its brand new outdoor bar and beer garden.

A place that has won awards for its Sunday diners, The Woodmans Arms created a display that was dubbed 'better than Fenwick's window' when it was transformed into a magical Narnia themed winter wonderland for the festive period, with diners and drinkers quick to take photos and share them on social media, having been blown away by what they walked into.

Well now, amid talk of a potential heatwave for the UK and a forecast which suggests we are in for at least a week of decent weather and warm temperatures, the Whickham haunt has embraced the change of season by transforming its outdoor area into a set up that would be worthy of the Love Island villa or a VIP area at a major festival.

And, as well as new chairs, benches, bright beanbags and parasols, The Woodmans' newly revamped outdoor garden is also home to its own bar, The Grain Tank, meaning that anyone lucky enough to get a seat, won't need to keep venturing back inside the main bar to get their drinks.

The Woodmans Arms revealed all on Facebook earlier this week, sharing a series of photos of the garden, with the post quickly getting plenty of comments, as one customer enthused: "It’s changed loads now hasn’t it, it looks lush!" and a second reacted: " imagine booking all of this to yourself!"
