Gavin Rossdale describes Gwen Stefani divorce as his 'most embarrassing moment'

Gavin Rossdale has described the break down of his marriage to Gwen Stefani as his "most embarrassing moment".

The former couple, who are parents to three sons, were granted a divorce in 2016 following 13 years of marriage.

When asked about his most embarrassing moment in an interview with The Guardian, the 54-year-old Bush singer replied: "The gross and lopsided spectre of the crumbling of my marriage."

Stefani, 50, is now in a relationship with country singer Blake Shelton while Rossdale is single.

He is parent to sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, six, as well model Daisy Lowe, 31, whose mother is fashion designer Pearl Lowe.

Lowe's paternity was not discovered until 2004 following a DNA test, with her father originally believed to be Pearl's ex-partner Bronner Handwerger. Rossdale, who had been named as her godfather, was found to be the biological parent.

Rossdale also addressed his "happiest moment" with the publication, stating: "Last year, when I had all four kids—Daisy, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo—staying with me on my birthday. It was magical."

Lowe posted a picture of herself, Rossdale and her siblings to her Instagram last October to celebrate Rossdale's 54th birthday.

"Happiest birthday dad @gavinrossdale we all love you with all our hearts and we are very lucky you made us," she captioned the snap.

Stefani and Shelton, 44, met during the 2014 series of The Voice US as they both acted as coaches in the competition.

The country star was in a relationship with fellow singer Miranda Lambert at the time, pursuing a relationship with Stefani after the break up of both their marriages.
