The Great British Bake Off is over for another year but there's no need to cry into your lemon drizzle, because a celebrity special for Stand Up To Cancer will be here before we know it.

A whole host of stars will be trying to impress Prue Leith and her fellow judge Paul Hollywood with their baking skills, including Our Girl star Michelle Keegan, comedian Russell Brand, Love Island host Caroline Flack and This Morning's Rylan Clark-Neal.

Making an appearance on Sunday Brunch today (November 18), Prue has promised that the special edition will be "absolutely hilarious" – although she admitted that it probably won't feature too many examples of fine baking.

"It's very funny," she said. "It's really good television – it's absolutely hilarious, but it's not the best baking you've ever seen."

Although taking part clearly had a good influence on at least one of the contestants, as Prue revealed that Russell Brand loved baking so much that he wanted to carry on having his efforts judged after filming was over.

"Russell went home so inspired by his baking and everybody else's baking that he sent Paul and me a piece of cake the week after to judge by the week after," Prue revealed. "It came fresh, and it was delicious."

Of course, Prue also spoke about last year's spoiler incident, which saw her accidentally tweet the identity of the winner of the 2017 show hours before it aired, and it's clear that she's never going to be able to forget about it.

"I am never going to live that down. People still tweet me and say, 'Is Manchester United going to win?'" she said.

"It was probably one of the worst days of my life and there was nothing I could do about it. But the prime minister of Bhutan rang me up and thanked me for putting Bhutan on the map."

Thankfully she didn't drop any outrageous spoilers this year – so we have our fingers crossed that she'll be able to keep the winners of the charity specials to herself too...

The Great Celebrity Bake Off will return on Channel 4, while Sunday Brunch continues next Sunday (November 25).
