Gemma Atkinson gets same response from fans over 'thank you' message to Gorka Marquez after his tears

Gemma Atkinson was quickly flooded with comments from fans as she shared a 'thank you' message to her fiancee Gorka Marquez after he was recently seen in tears. The Hits Radio host was marking Father's Day when she paid tribute to the Strictly Come Dancing star.

On Sunday (June 16), Gemma, 39, took to Instagram with a sweet post dedicated to Gorka, 33, to mark his first Father's Day as a dad-of-two to daughter Mia, four, and son Thiago, who celebrates his first birthday next month.

Sharing a string of adorable pictures of the dancer with their children during a holiday to Tenerife earlier this year, Gemma gushed: "Thank you for all you do for us (except making me run). Happy Papas day to the best of the best! I couldn’t ask for a better role model for our children. We love you! @gorka_marquez."

Gorka was clearly left emotional as he quickly responded with a face holding back tears emoji as well as a number of red love hearts. But it wasn't long before fans and followers of the pair were gushing over the dad-of-two and praising the family's latest stint on screens with their own reality show on the W channel.

@sian_v_d ahared: "I've literally binge watched your series this morning! Very real and down to earth. Happy fathers day Gorka!! I'm sure you'll be spoilt rotten." @beverleybaldock replied: "Beautiful family, loves watching your series. Mia is a character and could watch her forever lol." @niamh_warrington added: "Aw such a beautiful family, love watching your series you are both such wonderful parents! Hope you had the best day together."

It comes after Gorka was seen heaping praise on his fiancee as he broke down in tears over spending time away from her and their children. The couple are constantly quizzed on how they cope with long periods of separation with Gorka's dancing career often taking him away from weeks - even months- at a time.

During the last episode of his and Gemma's reality show, Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens, the Spanish dancer was seen preparing for the show before leaving their Greater Manchester home for eight weeks. A clip of the moment has since been shared by both Gorka and Gemma on Instagram, in which Gorka is heard saying: "I'm not going to be home for at least five weeks...

"I hate being away. I just feel... not guilty. But you know, sometimes I go, 'Oh, I'm very tired,' and then Gemma is like, 'Well, I've been working [on] the radio, doing other jobs and [looking after] the two kids...' I just feel sorry that I'm not there helping. She's the force of this house. Without her this won't be running."

He continued: "It's also that she understands and supports me. Without her I wouldn't be able to do half of the things that I do. It's going to be hard because I'm going to miss them a lot. It was nice that we went away for a few weeks on holiday but it also makes it harder because I spend the whole day with them and from tomorrow, I'm going to go away and not see them." Gorka's eyes started to fill with tears as he said: "I don't even want to think about it!" before wiping his eyes.
