Gemma Atkinson says 'I refuse' as she hilariously shares what about her 'embarrasses' Gorka Marquez

Gemma Atkinson has told fans what about her 'embarrasses' her fiance Gorka Marquez after he previously branded her 'Northern and tight'. The Hits Radio host took to Instagram in which she revealed one of the things that made it back to Greater Manchester from their recent holiday.

Last month, Gemma, 39, and Gorka, 33, spent some time soaking up the sun and the family time together with their two young children - Mia, four, and Thiago, nine months - in Spain.

They headed off to Tenerife over the half-term break which came ahead of Gemma's return to her radio job following her maternity leave break and Gorka's return to the stage as he reunites with his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars for the professionals UK tour, which kicks of on Wednesday night.

But fans who have followed their adventures as a couple and now a family with their two children over the years may know that some of the stuff they acquire on their holidays makes it back to the UK with Gemma previously sharing her joy at not wasting a sandcastle bucket they had bought for Mia.

This time, it was a yellow spade that made it back up north and Gemma shared a video of Thiago playing with it on Wednesday (May 1). As she shared the clip on Instagram, the mum-of-two said: "It's another spade from Tenerife, that!"

She continued with a laugh: "All the way from Tenerife. Could have had a full roast dinner for what I paid for that in the hotel so it came home with us. And you like it don't ya? Money well spent!" She also wrote alongsdie the post: "Much to Gorka's embarrassment, I refuse to be ripped off," adding a string of crying laughing emojis.

The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star then shared a video from a scene in Friends in which Pheobe Buffay asks: "How much is it?" after attending a charity auction with Joey Tribiani. When the man replies '$8,600', Phoebe says: "We'll give you ten dollars!" Alongside the clip Gemma said: "Infact, this is me daily," alongside more crying laughing emojis.

It comes after Gorka, back in 2022, cheekily branded his wife-to-be Gemma 'northern and tight' after the pair headed on a quick shopping trip. The cancer filmed Gemma as she dithered over which bedding to buy, while complaining about the price. As she's looking, the former soap star is heard saying: "£12 for one pillow case..." Gorka then turns the camera back around to show a less than impressed Gemma holding said bedding and repeating: "£12 for one pillow case. That's too much isn't it?"

Realising her husband-to-be was filming her, she gave a smile before pretending to him with said £12 product. Sharing the video with his thousands of followers, Gorka wrote: "So northern and so tight..." he then tagged his other half and added a string of crying laughing emojis.

Gemma reshared the video with her millions of followers, writing: "I think it's a lot! £7 tops no for a pillow?" before sharing her own video. The mum-of-one said: "It's so funny that you all agreed with me on them pillows. How much? I ain't paying that! For one pillow? £12?"

But she then admitted: "I went and got it didn't I. I moaned and moaned like a Brit and paid it," before joking she gave a fake smile as she handed her cash over at the check out. "Driving home thinking, 'I've just been f*****g robbed'," she added. Writing alongside the clip, Gemma said: "In typical Biritsh style, I moaned and whinged and bought them anyway."
