Gemma Collins says she would have won Dancing on Ice if she had 'more confidence'

Gemma Collins has returned to the ice rink once more – and claimed if she had more confidence she could have won Dancing on Ice back in January.

The reality star, 38, took part in this year’s series and was paired with Matt Evers.

But despite having a large fan base she was eliminated in the fifth week.

She also famously fell during a performance to Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now in the fourth week and recently recreated the moment on Celebrity Juice.

Now the GC has posted a video on Instagram of her skating in a bright pink dress and a crown - and said she could have won the show.

In the caption, she wrote: “If only I had the confidence last year that I have this year I reckon I could have won. It’s so nice to be back on the ice and not fearing it!!!” with a sticking out tongue emoji.

She gained support from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! contestant and nutritionist Gillian McKeith, who wrote: “love it!! The outfit. The confidence! Fabulous xx.”

During her time on Dancing on Ice, Collins also spectacularly clashed with judge Jason Gardiner, who she accused of “selling” a story about her to the media.

He responded calling her a “brat” and saying she was not very good.

Later on the year, she voiced her delight after it was announced that Gardiner would be leaving the show.

Speaking about it on Good Morning Britain, Collins said: “"Hallelujah. Let's be fair he only works twice a year in TV. I think he does Dancing On Ice and panto. Would we miss him next year? Hell no.”
