Gemma Collins skips NTAs after-party for a curry as she vows to focus on Dancing on Ice

Gemma Collins eschewed the glitz and glamour of the National Television Awards after-party to enjoy a late night curry with boyfriend James Argent, as she vowed to focus on her Dancing on Ice preparation.

The TOWIE star documented her post-NTAs outing on her Instagram account, sharing video clips from the couple’s low-key dinner at Tayyabs in Whitechapel.

“Arg is spoiling me by bringing me out for a curry,” she told followers, as her boyfriend warned her “not to slip on the floor.”

“You’ve pushed the boat out for the GC tonight,” she continued, before revealing to fans that the restaurant “has got a very special place in our hearts” as “it all started back in the day at Tayyabs.”

Collins went on to confirm that she had decided to skip the star-studded after-party to ensure that she would be on top form for her skating rehearsals tomorrow morning.

“Guys if you’re wondering why I’m not partying at the NTAs it’s just because I have to be on my A game this week,” she said. “I have to skate, I need to let me boots do the talking so as much as I’d love to stay and get drunk, it’s dinner with matey boy and home to bed before skating all day tomorrow.”

Yesterday, the GC told fans that she would be taking a break from social media in order to “focus” on her “skating skills” in the aftermath of her spat with Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner.

“Guys after today I can’t be on social as I really need to up my skating skills,” she said. “I’m not leaving you but I really need to focus.”

She then promised that she would be “back up and running Sunday” after her performance.

Dancing on Ice is on ITV, Sunday at 6pm
