General Election 2019 results tracker and map: Latest announcements from across the UK and London

Boris Johnson has secured a massive majority in the House of Commons after a stunning victory in the general election.

On a devastating night for Labour - during which Jeremy Corbyn announced he would stand down as leader - the Conservative Party sailed past the 326 seats needed for an outright majority shortly after 5am.

As the votes were counted and the results rolled in, the Conservatives gained seats in Labour's heartland while the Liberal Democrats failed to make any major gains and leader Jo Swinson lost her seat.
