'Gentleman Jack' fans think series two was worth the three-year wait
Gentleman Jack has finally returned for series two nearly three years after the first series aired its last episode - and viewers were not disappointed with the new instalment.
The period drama stars Suranne Jones as real-life 19th century entrepreneur Anne Lister and Sophie Rundle as her partner Ann Walker, who are living together as wife and wife.

Writer Sally Wainwright has adapted Lister's diaries into the BBC One series and fans were excited to see the show back on screen.
One viewer tweeted: "#GentlemanJack came back with an absolute BANG! They knew that we had waited 3 YEARS for this and it was absolutely phenomenal! Worth the wait!"
Another fan wrote: "Three years of waiting for #GentlemanJack to return and it’s still sooooo goood. I missed the annes so much that episode was everything I needed."
Someone else added: "Thank god for #GentlemanJack I missed it so much and this season's quality is through the roof!"

Viewers were especially pleased to see their favourite leading ladies Jones and Rundle playing out their romance once more, which has shocked the residents of 19th century Halifax and has seen various exes of Lister's complicating things.
One fan tweeted: "The way my face lit up at seeing Sophie Rundle as Ann Walker on my screen again! I love that bubbly little creature so much!!!"
Someone else added: "Suranne Jones is utterly mesmerising in #GentlemanJack. There's committing to a role. And then there's what she's doing."

This series will also include a guest appearance from The Thick Of It and The Larkins star Joanna Scanlan, who will play Lister's outrageous ex Isabella "Tib" Norcliffe.
Returning cast include Lydia Leonard as Mariana Lawton, who played a key role in the first episode, Gemma Whelan, Gemma Jones, Timothy West, Katherine Kelly and Stephanie Cole.
Gentleman Jack continues on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
