The former Coronation Street star has rather unkindly been tipped for failure as she takes on the role of Holly Golightly in Breakfast At Tiffany’s.

The Strictly alumnus will take over the role following Pixie Lott’s hugely successful run on the West End stage.

According to so-called ‘insiders,’ the theatre is struggling to shift tickets for Georgia’s opening night, and it’s expected that the auditorium will barely be half full.

Sales are tipped to be even worse for the following night’s show.

“It’s woeful just how empty the theatre will be for Georgia’s stage debut,” a source told The Sun. “Pixie sold a record-breaking amount of tickets, so Georgia’s ticket sales in comparison are just embarrassing.

"Bosses are hoping Georgia’s ticket sales will pick up once the reviews are out but the opening night is going to be a bit quiet.”

The news comes just three weeks after Georgia split from her Strictly Come Dancing boyfriend, Giovanni Pernice who is paired with TV presenter Laura Whitmore on this year’s show.

Meanwhile, while Georgia’s performance is already being slated before it’s even begun, Pixie Lott impressed critics and audiences alike with her turn as Holly.

The Guardian complimented her on her ‘marvellous singing voice’ and said she ‘sparkled’ on stage.

Holly Williams from The Independent heralded Pixie for her on stage ‘distinctive charm’, While Dominic Cavendish from The Telegraph wrote that she “ticks all the boxes”.
