Morning Live presenter Gethin Jones returned to Cardiff on Friday, June 28 as he spent the day with his nephew on his birthday. Throughout the day the 46-year-old did a range of different things with his sister Meredid’s son Alby.

Gethin initially shared a video in which Alby announced he’d be spending the day with his uncle and at the time he was on Newport Road in Cardiff. Gethin captioned the sweet clip: "Alby’s inset day! (We’ve always done little tv shows - can’t get a word in these days0."

During the hilarious clip Alby called Gethin “young lad”, to which he jokingly replied: “Young lad? I am your uncle. Have some respect.” Later on the TV star shared further updates about what him and Alby were getting up to.

Next up, Gethin and Alby played the “train game” — which Gethin explained: "You have to guess which direction the train is coming from." The duo also enjoyed seeing if they could make the trains sound their horns.

Rounding off the day Gethin took Alby to Roath Park and shared a series of cute pictures as the pair fed the ducks while walking around the lake. He captioned his final post with Alby: “Special few hours with the birthday boy. The final show of the day came at the park. We’ve laughed all day. Alby is a joy to be around. His autism brings an innocents and a unique comedy. His birthday present cost 70p. (Not “20 quid”).”

Several people commented on Gethin’s series of posts, including his Morning Live co-star Gaby Roslin who wrote: “Happy Birthday lovely Albi.” Another person said: “He’s a star”. A third person echoed: “Needs his own show.”
