Ginny & Georgia season 3 is in production!

Along with the likes of Virgin River and Firefly Lane, Netflix's Ginny & Georgia is our ultimate comfort watch. When season two finally dropped on the streaming platform in January 2023, we were already looking ahead to more potential episodes, and whether we'll get a third instalment. This is everything we know so far about Ginny and Georgia season 3, from expected release date to cast and more.

What is Ginny & Georgia season 3's expected release date?

Seeing as season two took almost two years to be released (it was announced in April 2021 and came out in January 2023), we're not holding out hope for a quick follow up - especially because season three only went into production in April 2024.

Announcing that the cast had started filming, the official Netflix account wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "Ginny & Georgia Season 3 is now in production!! Well, isn't that just peachy."

Buzzing.

When was Ginny & Georgia season 3 confirmed?

Back in May 2023, Netflix shared the good news that we would be getting more Ginny & Georgia, and the best part is, it was confirmed for not one but two more seasons.

The cast of Ginny & Georgia shared the exciting news in a video on Netflix's Twitter account, with Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny, saying: "Get ready with me to announce seasons three and four of Ginny & Georgia."

The rest of the cast contemplated on what the next two seasons will look like, with Jennifer Robertson, who plays Ellen, giving a special shout out to the fans for making it happen.

"This really couldn't have happened without the fans, thank you all!" she said. You're welcome Jennifer!

Who will star in Ginny & Georgia season 3?

Series three has just been confirmed, so whilst we haven't got any official word on casting, given the announcement video, we can be pretty sure to see a similar line up to this:

  • Diesel La Torraca (Austin)

  • Felix Mallard (Marcus)

What have the cast said about Ginny & Georgia season 3?

A day after season two dropped on Netflix, Deadline spoke to the show's creator Sarah Lampert. "There’s been no talks with Netflix about Season 3," Sarah sadly confirmed. "We have to wait to see how it does and if we’re going to see Season 3 but I certainly hope we do because it’s going to be a wild ride."

On what could happen, she continued that there are "a lot of really great possibilities."

"If Georgia is being charged with this crime, we have Zion, he’s Ginny’s dad, we have Gill in the picture now. I think previous to this, he had no chance at custody because he was a convicted felon but who knows now, and we’ve got Paul, who’s the stepdad."

"We have so many golden possibilities for storytelling based on how rich these characters are," adds Lampert. "And based on how many surprises we want to throw into Season 3 that I’m being coy about but we do have it planned out."

Is there a Ginny & Georgia season 3 trailer yet?
