Talks underway for 20th anniversary Girls Aloud reunion, says Nadine Coyle
Girls Aloud are in discussion to reunite for their 20th anniversary, according to former member Nadine Coyle.
The comments would appear to go against rumours of bitter rifts between members, which have surrounded the group since they last went their separate ways in 2012.
2022 will mark 20 years since Nadine, Cheryl, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts formed on Pop Stars: The Rivals, before going to number one with their anthem Sound of the Underground.

Now it looks like a reunion could be on the cards.
Speaking on Angela Scanlon’s Thanks A Million podcast Nadine said: “There’s been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, “What do we do?” It’s still early.
“I’m 34 years old so to think that I’ve been doing anything for 20 years is shocking, isn’t it?”
Girls Aloud had four number one singles before initially splitting in 2009.
They returned in 2012 to celebrate their 10th anniversary, going on tour and releasing single Something New.
Nadine isn’t the only one to hint at a reunion.
Kimberley last month revealed she bumped into Nadine and felt “nostalgic”.
She told The Sun: ‘It was so nice to catch up with her, it’s been a while. We just bumped into each other at an event, it made me feel nostalgic.

‘It will have been 20 years in 2022, it’s a long way off still. Everybody is busy at the moment, but I have a lot of love for all the girls, I’m proud of all of them.’
She added: ‘All the songs feel like a distant memory, but if I hear them then I think they’re good, I’m glad I still get to spend time with the girls and see them.”
