Girls Aloud pay tribute to Sarah Harding ahead of anticipated reunion
Harding would have been 42
Girls Aloud have paid tribute to their former bandmate Sarah Harding on what would have been her 42nd birthday.
Harding died two years ago after being diagnosed with breast cancer with the band honouring her memory on the group's Instagram page where a message read: "Sending love to all Sarah’s fans, friends and family on her birthday today x."

The post comes ahead of the girl band's highly speculated reunion, something the remaining four members have previously rubbished, especially in light of Harding's death.
Kimberley Walsh has previously detailed why the group wouldn't reform following their split in 2013.
Appearing on This Morning in aid of breast cancer research, Walsh told Dermot O'Leary: "I just feel for all of us, it would just be too painful. We’re so grateful that we had the time that we did and that we can find a way of doing something positive. But I don’t think it’s going to be something that we’ll do.”
Since Harding's death in 2021, the remaining members have gotten together on numerous occasions to raise money for charity including re-releasing their debut album Sounds of the Underground.
Over the last few weeks, rumours have intensified that a Girls Aloud reunion is imminent with them allegedly recording a return single already.
Despite not confirming anything, there are also rumours that the group will reunite to tour in 2024 and perform live for the first time in 11 years.
Walsh previoudly said that she did her pregnancy from Harding while the latter was dying of cancer but her bandmate found out anyway.
"I'm getting really emotional thinking about this. In reality I kind of knew she's not going to have any kids – she isn't going to be able to — and she always asked me about the boys all the time.
"And I didn't tell her for a while. And I knew it was weird because I was like 'I should call her and tell her, like it's amazing news'."
Walsh also revealed that Harding ended up finding out anyway: "Sarah being Sarah just called me up and she was like 'Ay, I've just seen you're having another one, are you alright?' And I was like 'Yeah, I know I'm sorry', and I was so embarrassed for not calling her but I couldn't bear to give her another moment of pain."
